BPF Solutions was founded on the belief that every American should have access to comprehensive firearms training to enhance their ability to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. Our mission at BPF is to bridge the gap in firearms education by offering a range of relevant and dynamic courses designed to cultivate shooter development and facilitate mastery of essential weapon fundamentals and manipulations.

Our offerings include CPL (Concealed Pistol License) classes, firearms instruction for beginners and advanced shooters, private classes tailored to individual needs, and more. Whether you’re seeking to take a CPL Class in Michigan, refine your shooting skills, or enhance your knowledge of firearms safety, our experienced cadre is here to support your journey.

USCCA Certified Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and Home Defense Class

In this Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class students will learn the requirements for their state where USCCA certification is accepted and receive upon passing, the certification required to apply for a concealed carry permit/license.

Duration:

8 hours – Class room instruction 5 hours, 3 hours of range time (firearms drills, simulations, and live fire exercises)

Cost:

$115

Topics include (more/less depending on state CPL requirement):

  • Understanding and using conflict avoidance to prevent escalation as well as the
    importance of de-escalation
  • Understanding and using situational awareness
  • Home Security and developing a home defense plan
  • Understanding use of Deadly force and proper escalation of force in a self-defense scenario
  • Deadly force triangle
  • Basic shooting fundamentals and concepts
  • Physiology of violent encounters – how your body responds to high stress situations
  • How to handle the mental and legal aftermath of a self-defense situation

Class requirements:

  • Pen/paper
  • Pistol (pistols can be rented $50 includes pistol, holster, 2-3 magazines, and 50rds – inquire upon sigh-up)
  • 50 rounds minimum (suggested 100rds)
  • 2-3 Pistol magazines
  • Eye/Ear protection (Some will be provided if you don’t have any)
  • Lunch
  • Appropriate clothing/outdoor clothing

Class fee provides:

  • Range fee

Pistol/Rifle Courses

Pistol range

Pistol

Pistol courses are offered to not only train and familiarize new gun owners with their weapons, but also to provide follow-on training and specialty training for more advanced shooters. The below subjects provides a glimpse of the topics that may be covered depending on the level of course selected. Course instruction may be modified depending on the end-users desired outcomes. Courses are available for individuals, couples, or groups. They provide great opportunities for team building events as well.

Duration:

Pistol Courses in groups may last 4-hours to two 8-hour days, individual or private courses will be tailored to the end-users goals.

Cost:

  • Basic – $150
  • Intermediate – $225
  • Advanced – $325 (must complete intermediate pistol prior to approval for class)
  • *Private courses have 6 hour minimum – $400 (this includes 1-2 hour meeting with me to plan your goals, learn skill levels, specific concerns, and more, then 5 hours of range time 1-on-1)

Rifle

Rifles courses are tailored and instructed from the same mentality and end-goal of pistol, though there are more nuisances worth covering regarding rifle work. Rifle courses may also be tailored for Basic, Intermediate, Advanced (Rifle & Pistol), and Defensive shooters (Rifle or Pistol).

Duration:

Rifle Courses in groups will be a minimum of 4-hours up to 10-hours. Multi-day and private courses are available depending on the nature of the end-users goals.

Cost:

  • Basic – $125
  • Intermediate – $225
  • Advanced – $325 (must complete intermediate rifle prior to approval for class)
  • *Private courses have 6 hour minimum – $400 (this includes 1-2 hour meeting with me to plan your goals, learn skill levels, specific concerns, and more, then 5 hours of range time 1-on-1)

  • Emergency medicine
  • Emergency medicine for a buddy
  • Weapon selection
  • Environment considerations
  • Gear considerations (Slings, tactical belts, chest rigs, lights, etc)
  • Safety fundamentals
  • Sight over bore
  • Weapon marksmanship fundamentals (grip, sight-alignment, breathing, trigger control, trigger reset)
  • Drawing from the holster
  • Threat assessment and observation mindset
  • Stress drills
  • Multiple target engagement
  • Responsive shooting
  • Shooting positions
  • Defensive tactics
  • Follow-on shot accuracy
  • How to self-assess (self, situation, buddy)
  • Each session may be tailored towards the group or individuals depending on end-goal desires to ensure training efficiency of both time and skill levels.

  • Rifle or Pistol (pistols can be rented $60 – included holster and 50rds – inquire upon sign-up)
  • Gear – Rifles must have slings and pistols must have holsters
  • 2-3 Pistol magazines (with magazine holsters)
  • 4-6 Rifle magazines (belt or chest rig required)
  • Minimum/maximum rounds will be provided with class sign-up
  • Eye/Ear protection (Some will be provided if you don’t have any)
  • Lunch
  • Appropriate clothing/outdoor clothing

Fundamental Education and Readiness Course

Class Training

F.E.A.R.

Fundamental Education and Readiness is a unique course of instruction specifically designed for citizens on the fringe of buying a gun, grew up in gun-less homes, or want to conquer their fear of firearms. The course covers common stigmas related to fear of firearms, how they are meant to be used, the value they may provide in security, and protection for not only you but also your family. This is a great class to attend in groups, with friends, and family.

Duration:

This course consists of 2-hours of classroom instruction and training.

Cost:

$50

  • Discussing what F.E.A.R. is and its importance
  • Fundamental Mindset
  • Stigmas of fear around firearms
  • Similarity between firearms and other household tools often used for home defense and safety
  • Value and capability in educated use of firearms
  • Changing mentality from target/victim to protector
